Albania is a very small but amazing country on the Mediterranean, near Greece. It’s one of the least visited Mediterranean countries but that will change before you know it as more and more people come to appreciate its amazing beauty. It has lovely, white sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and vibrant, expanding cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are gorgeous. The beaches are normally white, sandy beaches although of course there are a dozen or so pebble beaches as well. You can if you want have fun in the bright sun on a towel or get a sun bed, the decision is up to you to make. Many of the beaches are pretty much untouched by visitors and a number are so out of the way that you can be at the beach alone, even in spring and summer.
There are many fantastic mountain places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are fabulous for skiing or hiking and you can view quite a few waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the area. Those mountains are fantastic to see but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are extremely lively with a cafe culture leading to heaps of hip cafes to relax in. Albania cities including Shkodra are worth taking the time to visit to see the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.
Albanians are extremely warm and will be excited to introduce you to their country if you spend time there.
