Albania is a tiny but pretty country in the south of Europe, close to Montenegro. It is one of the less often visited countries in southern Europe but that is starting to change as tourists notice its amazing sites. This country has wonderful, pure white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and bustling, improving cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are unbelievable. The beaches are generally white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches too. You could if you want hang out in the bright sun on a mat or rent a lounge, the choice is yours. Plenty of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreigners and a number are so out of the way that you can possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in spring and summer.
There are quite a few exquisite mountain places in Albania. These regions in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you can also find many waterfalls and clean lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.
Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are so many great cafes to go to. Albania cities including Durres are worth visiting to see the unusual old city area and also to visit a museum.
The Albanian people are extremely hospitable and will be more than pleased to show you their country if you take the time to visit.
